Been coughing into my Hiragana notes since Friday..
Can that ticklish organism in my throat just get out and stop bugging me..??!
Arent there other means to kill those culprits in my body..?
The drowsy medicine's just too intolerable to bear..and those..those big hideous looking red and yellow pills..big enough to always get stuck in my throat whenever I flushed it down me with water..
I'm very well quite enthusiastic about taking my medicine recently..quite motivated to get it finished and done with..so that I wont have to constantly remember to take them.. =,=
*****
Finally..
Managed to squeeze some bed time out to finish
"Five People You Meet in Heaven"..
Another Mitch Albom's classic..
Hmmm..the story's simple and somewhat similar to the style of
"Tuesdays With Morrie"..
I was quite moved by the protagonist gradually starting to see light of situations..
Understand the people around him..
Letting go of old feuds..
I simply indulged in the intense love he has for his wife..
Even when his wife is old and sickly and withering..
Sooo sweeet...
One point though that outshines the rest of what the author is trying to convey..
"Life is not always what you thought it might be and seemed it might be.."
Our view of our life..can be as narrow as a slit in the wall..we usually only see the horizon to which our eyes could take us..seldom the diversified areas..seldom the other side of the horizon..seldom how others feel..
We complain too much..
We lament that others do not appreciate us enough..
But..yea but..
How do you know they dont?
How do you know that you are upset not because they dont appreciate you but because they dont appreciate you the manner that you want them to..?
How do you know that others are not going through hell just because they do not appear as such..?
There are many things which the naked eye cannot fulfil..
There are many situations when small roles are necessary pillars to the big ones..
There are many times when you are wanted..=)
Forgive people..forgive..
Empathy is necessary to make..not others..but ourselves to feel better..

Entering the Jap realm..
OOh..finally..the start of my journey to a promotion from a bilinguist to a multi one..
(What about my Cantonese..?? -__-''')
Seems like I've lost touch with what you called the most basic ettiquette of classroom behaviour..or rather classroom necessities to complement the behaviour..I went to class without anything to take notes..??! No proper pencil case, no note pads..no erasers..no rulers +_+
Needless to say..the short notes and broken English-form of Japanese were all scribbled onto whatever spaces I could ever find on the textbook..with pen and pencil circles..cancellations..underlined slanted lines..esterisks..etc etc..
*Tsk tsk tsk*
Though fun..
It's not that easy too..
Given that we have lived a quarter of our lives using the international language..
I have to get used to the pace of the class fast..raised my ears up straight similar to that of an "i nu" (dog) to adapt to the muffled and strong-accented voice of Kyooshi when she speaks English..
But when you hear her in her mother tongue..
It only makes you feel like wanting to know more about this beautiful language..
*****
“What have I put myself into..??”
The class started with the most basic of all languages..
Numbers..
I thought I enrolled the wrong class when the whole class started chanting:
"Ichi, ni, san, yoong, gou, loko, nana, hachi, que, juui.."
Isnt this supposed to be an elementary class..??
So as Kyooshi commented..yea..the class is good with numbers..I muttered under my breath.."Yea right.."
Then we practised around the desk..
"Hajimenmashite..June desu..Onamaewa..?"
"June san wa..dozo yoroshiku..onegaishimasu.."
And so the question carried on around the desk with heavily English accented trying-to-sound-Japanese Jap..
I was beginning to get the kick of it..then came a second set of notes..=X
For a long time..
I havent gotten that feeling of dread when you know kyooshi was going to ask you a question to which you may not be able to answer in front of the whole class..
The familiar chill shot down my spine..and palms turned cold..
Weird..I'm now grown up and shouldnt feel this way..hmmm...this time..
"Doko e ikundeska..?"
Going to places of interest never seemed so difficult to answer until now..
We moved on to the art of Hiragana..here comes more head churning moments..trying hard to match which symbol belongs to which pronunciation..@_@
Gosh..and we have to learn how to memorise..read..write..according to the
"Periodic Table" of Jap mastery(mystic writing)..
Immediately..the thought of getting a small squared exercise book crossed my mind..back to basics..where we first learnt to write Chinese characters..
I was actually quite motivated by that..^,^
At the end of our lessons..
"Owarimashoo.."
Kyooshi said Sayonara to me..I vividly remembered I had to return her greetings..
But..what was that.."Shit....something" word??
Then Dear reminded me..
"Shitsureeshimasu.."
Honestly speaking..
Chinese is more difficult..
If I could conquer my mother tongue reasonably well..I dont see why I cannot for Jap..
The bottomline for me..
I am determined to make it work..

Three years later @ Parc Oasis..

Time forced through its way to our lives..Don finally reached his 21st year of life..
It was a huge cohort of gathering..this crazy fella sure have a helluva group of friends..yea..friends who would have caused a stampede..=P
Watching them do make me feel so old..=,=

Thanks to his friend's recommendation..we got the good deal of 16 dishes for just 500 bucks..10 bucks per pax..nice sumptuous food.. Plus the meaningful and diplomatic speech by my dad..
And the spontaneous ambience created by his friends..
Watching them made me feel so old..
What a night!!
My family and cousins stole a couple of shots with the lead..=)

I was really happy that Dear accompanied me throughout the night..he helped out a lot and I hoped he did not feel bored or out of place..cos I really did enjoy myself..with all the self-obsessed pictures we sneaked up.. (okie I admitted I was the one who suggested this narcissism..geez..)

Peiyi came down to support too..surprised my brother.. Thanks gal!!
She really made her way from town to drop by..whoo..but JS was MIA.. -__-'''
Else we would have taken more crappy pictures together again..
How could I let her off without snapping a shot of her and the lead??

PY was right..Don really did not need to buy clothing nor perfumes for another year or so..=)
Fresh from the boutiques..Nike, Adiddas, Levis, Espirit..Davidoff..Mont Blanc..Tsk tsk..
See these nice balloons??

Now..they are on my brother's lap..=X

Waiting for my other crazy brothers and cousins to burst the balloons by sitting on his lap..=,=
Meanwhile..some other paparazzi shots..

Such birthdays never fail to bring the whole family together..even if it's just for a night..my family..cousins..relatives..everyone's grown up..
Enough to look back and fill our memories with warmth and laughter..

Walking deep into the quiet night..
I found my solitude..found my peace..found some time for myself to sort out my thoughts..
I took a breather..
The stillness of the night never fails to calm me..esp the one which has just been washed by the purifying rain..
It soothed out the creases in me..
The me who experienced the hectic calls of the day..endured the complications of the human relationships..the me who was interwined into the multiple levels of subtle meanings..
This moody boredom is back to haunt..
And so..I walked on and on for almost half an hour..as far as where my legs could bring me..the sweat glands started to work..tense calf muscles bulged..my face flushed from the cooling heat..my hair sticking to my face..
I need a good deep slumerish sleep..
*****
He became a sales personnel..
That was weird..
Through body language..I knew he wasnt a simple someone when he first joined..but who cares..
I'm not surprised if somewhere..all the relationships became entangled..someone suddenly became closely related in a tightly-woven relationship to the boss..to the big big boss..to the driver of the Z4 BMW ..
Who gives a damn??
Something in me bugged and tnawed though..if it wasnt his promotion, then what was it? I tried to shrug it off..but to no avail..It then dawned upon me..
It's saddening to know that people worked their way up using the fact that they're on very good terms with the boss..they're friends or even relatives of the big boss..
It's pathetic to know that everyone held them in high awe all because they're in a better position to be the informants of the boss..
He doesnt know what he's in for..
Must the society work this way?
So am I making a sweeping statement by generalising that the more successful people in the society are those who knew how to work their way up..not up the corporate ladder with efficient capabilities but up into the good books of their employers?
Must the world be so pretentious as such that human beings have to be coerced into doing something they absolutely detest..?
Will tongues wag if someone of good calibre rose up the corporate ladder fast by using true innate capabilities..and not by washing the BMW of the boss..?
Alright..
Perhaps I am making a sweeping statement..but think about it..will he still ever lend a helping hand to the boss to wash his car if boss was stripped utterly of his wealth..of his status..of his position?
Umm...
Do I have to resort to such means, to get into the good books of the rich to make a living?
For a someone who doesnt even like small talks with strangers, someone who cant talk about anything under the sun with people she doesnt click, someone who always maintained her distance from her teachers..
Do I have to..?? Is it ever possible..??
*****
I love to walk..and I will walk on and on the never ending road..
Please do not rob me of my only affordable and defenceless freedom I have 'ere..
