The show promises a free flow of incessant Matrix-like climatic actions..
Started off with a low key tone,
A mundane life of an average guy

With the occasional contrasts to his magnified senses to his surroundings.
Thereafter confirms his incredible abilities to shoot ermm the wings of houseflies?
Thinking that he’s panic stricken, he merely accepted these discoveries as part of his life.
Never questions even he’s sick of it
Never rebuts even if he’s disgusted by it
Never lack swearing even when he’s “sorry” about it.
Till the sudden appearance of Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman..
Who taught him what else but the attributes of an assassin.

Morgan Freeman,

As usual pops out of nowhere
Just like his appearance in Bruce Almighty.
He is forever the philosophical being.
Leading the Fraternity of Assassins,
He teaches the skill to curl the bullet
He reads the haphazard 1010 stitches in the cloth.
He deciphers who shall be next on the death list.

Angelina Jolie,

Is sizzling hawt!
No doubt a professional veteran at such action packed moves..
Be it Tomb Raider or Mr and Mrs Smith, she never fails to deliver.
She never fails to give that daunting stare
That icy cold charm and that untamable disposition
You never know what to expect from her.
Holding a gun with such exquisite flowery prints that flows nicely to the tattoos on her hands
The gun never leaves her..

But when it does, it only means death is impending..

James McAvoy,

The actor with droopy eyes
We’ve seen him in the Chronicles of Narnia (Part One) and the Attonement..
Perhaps there would be many other actors who can do a better job for this role
But he played this role rather convincingly..
The look of doubt and vulnerability and exasperation..
Someone who is so laid back that tempts you to shake some senses into him..
Someone who has never seen how his father looked like yet bent on revenge for him.

The effects actually overshadowed its plot..
There’s a nice sad twist near the end and the incredulous slow motions drew my eyes to feast on every bits and pieces of detail..
Just like the locking of bullets upon hitting each other.
The movie ends with a rhetorical question

"What the **** have you done today?"

Should I get it or not?

It's freaking tiring and pathetic to keep having to worry about my own water supply.

Yes I know I'm being difficult by refusing to drink the cold and salty and rusty fish pond water in office..

But am I wrong?

First I carry 2 kg of water to work everyday..

Now the water is cold..

Then I even have to worry that the rest may think I'm being high and almighty by having my own kettle that boils the water from my 2 litres water bottle.

(By the way that 2 litre foldable already cost me $19.00)

So feel free to convince me NOT to buy that..

The dark time beckons again..
This time this point, feel like running away..
Into my own world, into utopia..
The decision to be an adult, does not come trouble free..

Tried to rant and indignantly vent my temper against people..
And made myself feel even worse..

TGIF
Something I have not really experienced in a long time..

Fridays are always days to clear the remaining nonsense left over from Mon to Thur.
Fridays are blue.

Treated myself to Starbucks after a four hours feat at Kimage..

My breakfast. My lunch. My dinner.

Suddenly had a craving for green tea latte..
Sat at a corner, watching people walk past from the CBD area..
They looked happy, cos it spells the beginning of a weekend..

S.o.l.i.t.u.d.e

I chilled out for a while..
Enjoyed my low fat blueberry muffin, savored my green tea latte, reminisce a little..

Starbucks is everywhere in TW.
If I could have a cafe near my work place, it'll be muffins and lattes for me every lunch.

The table beside me had 2 groups of patronage..
Both were tired duos from the PC show.
Oblivious to their existence, I fiddled with my cam.

When time was up, packed my stuff and off to meet daddy for bowling..
Then I saw this incredible bottlenecked human jam.
Thought perhaps I'll do a U-turn.
But looking back, I could not see a road.
Only a sour face staring back at me in helplessness.
No movement for 20 minutes.

It wasnt just a jam, it was human glue.
Absolutely stuck.

Walked home with daddy..
Seldom have the chance to do so..
Usually have heart-to-heart talks with mommy, daddy naught so..
Could still see the disappointment in his eyes..
It was supposed to be Ming's commissioning parade tomorrow..

Everytime I left the salon with a flat head, I'll promised myself not to do it again..

But then, always found myself back in a year's time..

This is the perfect hairdo for a lazy someone who can never never wake up on time.

5:30 pm came and everyone’s gone into thin air.

My dear colleagues walked past me,

One even returned me my money.
They saw me pack my stuff in a hurry, so I assumed they knew I needed the bus.
Then I realized my storeman's on leave.

Staring at the alarm plus lock in my hands

Define panic.
Which button to activate?
Activating the wrong one may cause the alarm to go off and induced a call straight to the bosses.
I was the last to leave office..

Had to lock up the place, alarmed it properly, returned the key and then rush for the bus.
The whole process took 5 minutes of half strutting and hush running in heels.
Then I rushed to where the bus would stop,

The usual spot.

The lot has never been emptier than ever.

What wicked assumption.

Sex

Taking the movie at the most superficial level,

the show is undoubtedly injected with an abundance of the forbidden fruit..
In short, SEX.
The general consensus is that girls from all around flew to the colorful and vibrant New York city in search of LOVE.
Love for companionship, love for a family, love for sexual romps.
Some suffered painful breakups, some to reconcile with their old flames, some just want indulgence in physical sex.

To me the title subtly means much more.

This show conveys food for thought.

To begin with

Sex says the gender male and the gender female.
The interaction between the sexes of human kind.
The difference in mindsets between the sexes of the human kind.
The compromise between the sexes of the human kind.
The relationships between the males and males

Between the females and females,

Or lastly between the males and females.

Love and Friendship

The strong friendship and love between the four girls whom grew up in New York city spiced up the whole show.

How they connected, understood unspoken words, and always be there for one another..

A sleeping Carrie decided to wake up to get dressed and walked her way through the Xmas snowy streets to surprise a lonely Miranda at a faraway corner in Chinatown, reaching just in time to wish her Happy New Year.

The three best friends spontaneously abandoned their work just to accompany Carrie to mend her broken heart in her supposedly honeymoon resort.
The unromantic Mr Big learns the unspoken language of love and writes his own letters to ask for forgiveness, which he will never learn it if they were not being brought apart for a period of time.

Designer Brands in the City

The glittery lifestyle in the show is indeed very intriguing..

They are not the usual Gucci or Prada or LV bags that looked as if they were plugged out from pasar malems..
The designs showcased were pretty all right.
In the show, they are pretty and glamorous and classy and of high quality, and added more zest and colors to the show..

But in reality, we still do not need these brands to live a proper life with “good quality”.

Must you really don classy designer bridal gown over vintage brandless on the day of wedding?

What really matters is how one intangibly brings quality to life itself by living out the simplest detail.

Actresses

The four actresses in the show are very serious ones.

Charisma in place, poise and intelligence ruled the whole show.

They are but actors with brains.
The movie spells so much more important lessons of life than eye candy.

There's a balance of jest, jokes and quotes to soothe out the flow of the movie as the scenes moved from one character to the other.

Haven watched such a serious movie for a long long time..

It sets me thinking, left me perturbed.
And I haven even watched a single episode of its drama series..

But I loved this movie, something to chew on.

Dad passed me CASH without the red packet for my birthday.

I asked him where's the ang bao..

Then then I found these on my desk

In sooooo many nice colors..

The doing of my very naughty aunt..

If I hadnt done the same thing to her before, would have been freaked out again..

From my very best childhood friends..

They definitely understood me well..

And I really never expect to receive anything from them =)

Lastly from dear..

Popped into Marks and Spencer cookies section before the movie.

Grabbed a basket and filled it in less than 5 minutes..

Kekekekeke..

Thought I'd buy something home for them to eat and enjoy.

Every birthday is only meaningful when you have a wonderful family..

26 years ago, mommy was lying in the maternity ward, in pain and awaiting my arrival..

Hence these splurges are very well worthy especially when I saw the amusement on their faces..

PassionRun @ East Coast Park..
All the directions I asked from KS all gone to waste..
Cos we ended up taking a cab down..
Teehee..
So surprise to find our Senior Minister flagging off the 5km run..
And we got medals upon finishing the run ^,^

Then then we walked another 3 km just to satisfy our dying craving to have breakfast at the "Even better than the Xin Wang Cafe" Hong Kong Cafe @ East Coast Park.

It was closed after we finally found it.

Took time out to chill in town..

The bustling florished streets, amidst abundant GSS posters..
Struttling down once in a blue moon, penetrating through the crowd.
We went to catch a show..

Someone's staring at us..

Nice weather, relaxed day..
Walked from Cineleisure to Far East and back again..

Wanna pop over to Coffee Club, but loooong queue..

We ended up at HK Cafe..

Fish mee sua, Unagi congee Papaya almond dessert, HK milk tea and lychee ice tea..

Simply fulfilling meal..

All right

I'm 25 years and 363 days old..

But I still love neo prints =p

Caught Kungfu Panda..

Panda is undisputably an animal of peace..

Always chubby and always loveable..

The only animal in the show which does not know kungfu, but able to save the village.

The tigress (strength of attack), the crane (swiftness of attacks), the monkey (agility of attacks), the praying mantis (sharpness of attacks), the snake (deadliness of attacks)

These are actually the stereotypical animals' strokes in our Chinese kungfu movies, brought alive to the screens as animated characters by isolation.

Interesting concept.

Friday

I seriously dont know where to start..
Entering a noisy ktv room after a bowling feat, this was what we saw umm on the song menu.
I wasnt surprised, in fact I even prepared Dear for it..
LOL
And I was still amused..

Suki bought new shades from Bangkok@ SGD $4.00..
Aye aye why didnt she buy more

Saturday

Plugged myself up from bed
Met Suki to collect our runner kit for Pasison Run at Novena Square..
The queue was defintely long, but the prompt serivce made up for it..
Got our bib numbers, a green Geylang Serai dry fit and a can of 100 Plus..
Then we settled on Hans again for brunch..
Can never get enough of Hans..
Heeee, damn hungry..

Shopping thereafter at Far East..
Lalala..
Paragon's Bakerzin after a long walk around a wet Orchard..
The Chocolate Noir there is awesome!!

Thick choco rush, bitter alcoholic mix
Soft on the tongue, leaving a linger of insatiable yearn for more..
A perk-up to a day of endless walkingYummy.

Havent had such activities for a long time to come..
Activities in a row of consecutive days
Think either age is catching up or the pig is getting to me..
Had to constantly fight the zzz monster when I got back to work after a "happening" weekend..

But but
I have no complains ^,^
