Exactly 3 years..

Did not realise it till she asked..

A chilly jog into the dark, felt slightly better..

Having the wind in my face, is a form of solace to the daily toll and drudgery..

My mind, a blank, my body, tired..

But I pushed on like a sadistic commando will do..

Mind over body, just that was wondering where my mind went to..

Then it came.

For a split second the picture of me being an athletic victim clutched by a sudden collapse pierced into me..

Perhaps I'm losing my independence gradually, perhaps I'm scared..

Have you ever got stuck in a position where you are dying to get out but cannot do so?

An ermm..interesting conversation:

She: You look really quiet..

Me: (Smile) ...

She: Are you really 25?

Me: Yes

She: You look really young lei

Me: Uh no la..I'm old le, feel old..

She: I'm 5 years older than you..

Me: Oh isit?

She: Yes, and my eldest son is already 10..

Me: Oh isit? You dont look like you are married..

She: Oh yes..show you..

(Takes out her hp enthusiastically, showed me the wallpaper of her 3 kids)

Me: (Looked surprised)

She: Think I have to treat you to tea le..

Me: Uh me too..(-,-)

After some silence and when I tried to look out of the window..

She: You seldom take the bus eh?

Me: Uh..yea..

She: You always work OT ah, how come I always see that the emails you send out are always very late de..

Me: (Astounded) Huh..Oh isit? Very late??

She: Yes..always after 5 de..

Me: (Whoa..!) ...

Silence again..

She: How long have you been working here?

Me: 3 years, oh ya..3 years exactly..

She: Oh..then this is your first job?

Me: Yea..

She: Oh so you joined this company when you are 22?

Me: (=__=) Uh yea..

Finally she alighted..
Me: (Finally peace)

I felt bad for having an extremely unenthusiastic response..

But I just dont feel like talking..

Three years ago, I was thrown questions by a senior as if I was to be matchmade to her son..

And now a recently joined coll did the same to me, again..

Do I look so very interesting or enigmatic that people want to know more about me?

(*Scratch head*)

Was going through the pictures in the hard disk..

Am definitely taking pictures at a rate faster than I can sort them out..

This is what I came upon and struck my mind..

Two years ago and two Sundays ago..

The motar board is really fun..=P

She came into store with a huge bag containing M&Ms asking us to take a few pacs each.
She shook hands with all of us and she apologised for any offensive bahaviour if she had previously caused any unhappiness..

It was her last day..

I was umm..

Ironically having a rush of poignant tinge and feeling the dispirit rise in me..

Honestly speaking, I was dunked into mixed feelings..

Blithe sombre, vivacious dejection, frolic glum

As if oxymorons would described it any better, my head was again at its intense working capacity..

I wanted so much to say I'm sorry too..

Personally, she was a very nice and mild person to begin with..

She never throws her temper, never threw spiteful words..

Just that when it comes to work, she would panic and would tend not to follow doctrines..

She wasnt much of a principled person..

Sometimes, some rules are just not meant to be broken..

Sadly to say, I was the more principled one who once gave her a hard time and put her in place..

The thought of me having anything to do with her decision needless to say, struck my mind even though dear told me she had a better offer with her friend's company..

And the minute she came back from her maternity leave, she was thrown piles and piles of work..

It is always sad to see old staff leaving and new ones joining..

The phases in life where people walking in and out of your life never fail to strike multiple melancholic chords..

And I just received news too that Lynne had also thrown letter expectedly..

Out of the 4 ladies in that department, 3 have left..

Perplexed and perturbed, I wondered when will my turn be.. .. ..

Seen enlistees getting excited over enlistment?

Seen enlistees getting enlisted with a big clique of friends?

Seen enlistees taking happy group pictures at the bus interchange while waiting for the bus to pick us to the ferry terminal?

Weirdo!

Furthermore, he seemed to know a lot of people there..

Be it new enlistees, Sergeants, even Officers..

Then Don was also another one..

Wherever they go, sure bump into friends..

At least Mommy and Daddy do not need to worry for this guy =)

Time for updates..

Been busy busy busy..

Met up for a casual dinner with my mates Friday night..

Had a nice casual chat..

Seems like all my friends who are serving kids are having failing voices =X

Went to catch Transformers on Saturday at the Ang Mo Kio Hub..

This show actually has got much more content to it than the title can take..
Cool effects, actions all the way and never ending suspense..
Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are brilliant geniuses..

And I forgot to add that the new hub is quite a nice place too..

It was JS's Convo at NUS on Sunday..

Of course PY and I will go down to give support to an old old pal =p

Then so nice of this guy gave us a treat to Swensen..

Btw, I'm also waiting for the NIE Graduation treat =D

His folks are actually very warm and friendly..

Not scary la..

No uneasy qualms nor awkward gaps..

Nice company ^_^

After lunch, we went up to his place for the first time in eighteen years..

And our itchy hands started fiddling with everything that they can find..

Registered for the Shape Run..

And I simply loved the goodies..

That was 2 days back..

Went into the webbie just now, this was what popped out..

This event has got a registration capacity of hmm..think I read it somewhere..6000 women?
We've really got crazy women joggers in Singapore..=X

Aiya, I forgot to ask if Yan wanna join us..=(

There's always next year..

I'll try the 10 km next year..^_^
